Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Associate.

Job Summary        

The Business Development Associate will support a sales region with one or more Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and/or Producer(s).

Essential Functions

•Proactively call target list provided by marketing or sales management to identify key contacts and create interest in events and solutions.

•Qualify and document inbound request for information, and escalate to appropriate sales channel as required.

•Provide additional information to prospects that have inquired about solutions not ready to be engaged by a sales resource and follow up needed.

•Confirm attendance of registered attendees of hosted events, (such as in-person events or online events or webinars).

•Qualify interest level of unqualified leads as needed and escalate accordingly.

•Contact attendees of hosted events. 

•Schedule follow-up activities for qualified contacts with sales resources as required.

•Keep abreast of product functionality and service industry.

•Keep abreast of sales tactics to help contacts identify pain and need.

•Attend and participate in weekly or bi-weekly, in-person or online sales training.

•Assist in creating marketing collateral as required.

•Work closely with marketing on understanding campaign objectives and goals

Basic Qualifications

•1 -3 plus years business-to-business commercial sales or equivalent experience

•Must be 21 yrs of age or older

•Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (2 years)

•Home office with internet access capability

•Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications

•Bachelors degree preferred

•Above average Microsoft Office skills

•Excellent organizational/time mgmt skills

•Proven relationship management & consulting skills

•Problem-solving ability to determine customer solutions

•Proven negotiation & presentation expertise

•Self-motivation & drive for results

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

•High energy and positive attitude.

•Good follow through and attention to detail.

•Good communication skills, verbal and written.

•Desire to learn and grow.

•Minimum of one year experience in a business related customer-facing role such as sales, customer service, account management or similar.

Geographic Areas in Market: All 50 States in U.S.  – Large Corporations, mid-size and small businesses.

Income package: Commission-based. (Estimate $48K - $55K low to $80,000. + high depending on skill level, work ethic and effort, experience and attitude.) Commission is based on fifty (50%) of sale monetary amount - sliding scale for amounts. Bonuses and benefits may be available for those individuals with proven sales track records after trial period.
