Job Description

The Grants Coordinator will assist the Director of Institutional Relations in achieving an annual $1M fundraising goal by securing grants from corporate, foundation and government sources. This position collaborates with a seven member development team in daily operations and special projects; works with other departments to assemble and maintain relevant information; and interacts with CAF’s external audience as necessary. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
  • Assist with writing, preparing and submitting grant proposals, reports and supporting materials
  • Manage robust grants calendar and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Take lead on select grant proposals and reports as assigned
  • Work with Marketing and Communications to ensure proper recognition of donors on CAF communications products
  • Maintain electronic (Box, Raiser’s Edge) and hard copy files
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2 – 3 years nonprofit grant writing experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including superior grammar and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Raiser’s Edge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
