The Manging Director has primarily responsibility for focusing on Legal Consulting sales associated with data collection methods.
This role requires a strong understanding of the consultative selling process from initial cold call to close. Specific selling skills include the ability to develop a qualified list of potential buyers through cold calling activity, setting presentation appointments, follow-up and closure of sale. Strong phone and presentation skills are essential. The perfect candidate will also have strong computer competence with the ability to learn new applications quickly. Law firm and/or other litigation support sales experience is a definite plus.
This position is an integral member of the sales team that is responsible for the full business development lifecycle from opportunity development to closure.
The Managing Director is responsible for developing and maintaining the proper amount of viable opportunities in their pipeline through proactive selling activities, efficient time management and forecasting of incoming projects via the SalesForce customer relationship management system. The required sales target is set at $5,000,000.

* Create growth in the AmLaw 250 market place by developing new client relationships and driving revenue with new and ongoing clients.
* Meet or exceed quarterly and yearly revenue projections.
* Develop and maintain an accurate list of prospects and clients within the customer relationship management system.
* Educate and market to clients regarding the company's products and services through verbal, text or electronic communications.
* Generate new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
* Develop proposals and Requests for Proposals.
* Provide proposals, negotiate prices, prepare contracts and track engagements.
* Continual follow up with existing customers to building on those relationships and meet new customer contacts within the organizations.
* Have a full understanding of our client's products and services
* Continually monitor and understand competitors' products and services.
* Work closely with operations group to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of product and service.
* Submit weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, problems and resolutions concerning customer relationships.
* Sales forecasting on monthly and quarterly basis.
* Bachelors degree or higher; JD preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of business-to-business legal-oriented sales experience required.
* Candidate must be able to show that they met and / or exceeded their quota during that time period.
* Knowledge in the legal industry, not limited to but including, the business of law, law firm financial systems, case and records management, cost control mechanisms, data collection, forensics and imaging, electronic discovery, asp hosting models, and document review/management.
* Must be able to coordinate and conduct presentations to large groups at all levels.
* Ease at forming long-term relationships with customers on the company's behalf.
* Strong customer focus; ability to communicate issues, manage conflicts and work through to resolution for customers in a proactive positive manner.
* Flexibility and willingness to work extra hours at times outside of normal business hours as needed to ensure success.
* Able to work under deadline pressure.
* Able to travel as needed.
* Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally, as well as written with all levels of organizations.
