Core Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of the core platform services allowing to deploy GoodData components in a distributed cloud deployment.
• These include but are not limited to:

1. messaging middleware
2. task and job processing container
3. workflow management service
4. notification service
5. logging and auditing
   
   

• Participate in the ongoing evolution of the GoodData platform.
• Leading pro-active cross-team communication (between cities and areas of responsibility)
• Technical design and documentation authoring including reference UML documentation.

• Data structures, algorithms and distributed programming knowledge is an essential prerequisite
• Keen interest and passion for middleware and messaging technologies is required to succeed
• Perl, C/C++ and system-level programming are required
• Additional programming and scripting languages are a plus (Erlang, Java, JavaScript, SQL)
• Fluent written English is a must, good spoken English is an advantage
• Experience with UML is an advantage
• Experience with distributed applications development is an advantage

Education

• MSc. in Computer Science or equivalent
