Job Description

We are looking for the perfect addition to our small team. Our highest priority is to find the right person to match our professional work ethic, easy-going attitude, exceptional organizational skills and technical photography skills.


  • Excellent communication skills and work ethic

  • Be able and available on all weekends, including to travel 3-4 days at a time regularly
  • Able to organize and be responsible for large amounts of equipment
  • Able to handle crazy situations with grace and think quickly; excellent decision maker instinctively
  • Familiarity using Nikon camera equipment and lighting (you do not need your own equipment)
  • Use both PC and Mac computers for editing
  • Excellent with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress) and writing


The perfect candidate will be able to do everything - from mundane tasks like running errands and preparing print orders, to exciting trips to different countries and fashion shoots for magazines. Every day brings new opportunities to train and learn our craft, to be creatively inspired and to be rewarded from happy clients. 


The candidate must be able to communicate effectively, and have the ability to be both professional and personable. We are frequently given the opportunity to make quick decisions and so our ideal candidate would be able to think fast and make good choices.


Creatively, they should be inspired to shoot couples, candids, and details. Confident and capable in their abilities to work a camera and lighting in different conditions. We are willing to train technical skills if your portfolio shows the "eye".


Our candidate will also be expected to do a large amount of editing and culling in our Oviedo office during the week (approximately 25 hours per week, although more or less may be required based on season and amount of work).  In the office, they will also prepare shipments, book travel, place orders, communicate with clients, schedule sessions, overall customer service, answer phones and emails, work on marketing and blogging, submit editorials and wedding submissions, among other tasks.


We are also looking for this person to assist with our Non-Profit Organization, Images for a Cure. Experience working with non-profits is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional work environment
  • BS or BA preferred, but not required
  • Programs used: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Camera Raw, Nikon, ShootQ, Microsoft Word, Gmail, Social Media, Wordpress
  • Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop including understanding layers, actions, palettes, color correction, white balance and skin retouching
  • Shooting on manual settings (required) with a Nikon D700 or above model (preferred)

Additional Information

  • Current, valid Passport is required for destination travel
  • Must be able to travel to/from office in Oviedo, FL for weekly work and weddings
  • Schedule is 3-4 weekdays, approx. 6-8 hours each, and weekends as wedding bookings require
