Job Description

OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity to call and build long-term relationships with the country's top publishers; within Newscred’s recently launched UK office.

We’re looking for a great candidate to help us acquire access to the best content in the world - building up our relationships with publishers and content creators across verticals and markets. You’ll work directly with both major media brands and independent content creators to bring them on our platform. You’ll negotiate and secure licensing deals to help them find new markets for syndication and ultimately build a secondary market for their content. You’ll help publishers understand the value of their content and earn more revenue from the content they create. This role will be critical in helping us change the future of media, and you’ll take direct ownership in building up a marketplace that returns millions of dollars back into the publisher ecosystem. We have ambitious goals to have every premium publisher in the world on our platform, so you should be ready to help us make this happen.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, negotiate and close deals with premium content providers for the NewsCred platform across various verticals and markets
  • Contribute to and execute on content acquisition strategy, ensuring results meet target requirements
  • Work with Sales, Product and Editorial teams to forecast content requirements and performance
  • Ensure NewsCred content offering meets markets needs and perform according to projection
  • Negotiate with content providers in order to facilitate new licensing models that support partnerships and new product offerings
  • Manage ongoing relationships with content partners
  • Analyze performance of content partners and implement sales, editorial, and product improvements
  • Work with legal to negotiate content licensing agreements and develop new templates as business models evolve

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 –5 years experience in business development, content acquisition, online media or similar industries
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, self-starter with a collaborative mindset
  • Strategic yet execution-oriented
  • Passion for digital media. Excitement for content marketing and evolution of brands as publishers is a major plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
