Job Description

OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity to call on the world's top brands and agencies in NewsCred's recently launched UK office. NewsCred's Sales Development Representative will help build and grow this new office by tenaciously making outbound calls to source, educate and engage with prospects, as well as managing inbound interest. You will have to be comfortable thriving within a small, agile environment and take ownership of a new and evolving process.

You'll work closely with the UK team to source new deals, whatever that may take, whether that's calling large volumes of prospects, attending conferences and meetings, or something else entirely.

Your door-opening track record proves your approach to sales is disciplined and consultative, and that you have a unique ability to navigate your way through to the right decision maker.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source new business through cold calling, conferences, inbound qualification etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities within Salesforce
  • Educate clients on how our technology and content marketing as a whole can impact ROI on their site, and how to use our technology solutions to help increase engagement
  • Immerse yourself in the marketing scene to learn the content marketing landscape inside and out
  • Pitch in wherever necessary in a start-up within a start-up - the UK team is small, but growing fast, so there will be plenty of opportunity to make a mark

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Serious hunters driven by a sense of urgency and perseverance that is required when selling media You bring in business, business does not just come to you
  • A passion for selling content and software to brands and media agencies
  • Demonstrated results orientation: delivery of revenue targets and business growth
  • Strong energy and drive: self-motivated, focused on bottom line, persistent
  • Personal and interpersonal competencies: relating skills, openness and receptivity, integrity and character
  • A passion for premium content, content marketing and for what we are doing as a company
  • Bachelor’s degree
