Job Description

Job Purpose:

Record Maintenance of financial transactions

Duties

- A/P

- A/R

- Processing refunds

- Commissions calculations

- Tracking customer service incident costs

- Tracking and monitoring costs from inbound freight shipments

- Filing and monitoring outbound carrier loss/damage claims

- Bank recs and communications

- Credit apps

- Sales tax filings

- Interacting with vendors and customers

- Maintaining office organization and efficiency

- Responding to credit card chargebacks

- Responding to government correspondence

- Maintaining and producing official credentials as needed

- Maintaining historical records by filing documents

- Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

- Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions

- Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures

- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

- GL:

  • Maintaining chart of accounts
  • Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
