Job Description

Avenger Engineering is looking for a Software Developer Engineer for our Atlanta operation. The engineer in this position will be responsible for creating software that allows our Network Operation Center to improve its efficiency of planning, engineering, implementation and performance monitoring of AT&T's wireless network. Qualified candidates will be designing and developing software to optimize and improve the network implementation, network expansion, troubleshooting and reporting process within the wireless engineering network. Candidates will also be responsible for building intelligent systems to facilitate dynamic movement and work flow between a variety of engineering departments and sub-contracting companies, from planning to completion of network build.

As a member of our team you will design, build and deliver technology that directly impacts 3G/4G wireless network build and expansion. You will directly contribute to improving the operational expenditures of our company. You will have the opportunity to provide direction to our business and guide the design of our systems based on realistic timelines and resource constraints.


This position is located in Alpharetta, GA.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent program with formal training in computer science basics such as data structures, sorting/searching algorithms, order analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience in C# and/or SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Communication skills for both a technical and business audience
  • Willingness to deeply understand the goals and challenges of customer service operations
  • Analytical abilities, proven design skills and a track record of delivery
  • Experience with translating business requirements into scalable models and ability to apply advanced heuristics and algorithms in order to come up with fast solutions to these models
  • Strong background in computer science basics (data structures, sorting and searching algorithms, order analysis)
  • Deep experience with designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available systems
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, C#, Perl, SQL a plus
  • Experience with data analysis and data mining in large scale database environments a plus
  • Linux experience a plus
  • Lean methodology experience a plus
