Job Description

DCI Group is seeking a media relations professional to join our expanding global team in our Brussels office.  The position of Account Executive is a mid-level role offering an excellent opportunity for growth in a fast-paced, international environment. The successful candidate will be charged with providing strategic communications advice for a variety of Fortune 500 corporates, industry trade associations, non-profits and coalitions.  The candidate will be expected to have an intimate knowledge of the European media market, with experience in the London and/or Brussels markets.  The successful candidate must also develop and execute winning media campaign plans, including all appropriate traditional and social media materials.  Candidate must have experience in providing public relations or journalistic services; and agency, government or news publication experience is strongly preferred.  The successful candidate will work directly with a Partner and head of the DCI International Practice, along with the DCI Washington-based team and an extensive European network.

Qualifications

Candidate must be self-motivated and creative with superior communications attributes, including writing, editing and oral skills.

  • 3-5 years professional experience in the media relations field
  • Ability to provide strategic communications counsel
  • First-class communications skills, including writing, editing and oral skills
  • Strong understanding of social media and ability to develop winning social media campaigns
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of communication styles
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience with social media platforms a plus
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Additional EU languages an advantage
  • Experience in Member State media markets also beneficial
