We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales manager with a proven track record of building and driving quota busting sales teams. This “business-to-business” sales professional must develop a deep understanding of our products, know how to grow a team, and come with savvy approaches to winning business. Looking for a hands-on leader with strong sales and negotiation skills to inspire, motivate and grow our existing sales team and exceed aggressive revenue goals.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Day-to-day management of a sales team including participation in customer calls, regular funnel reviews and collaborating on tactical sales plans.
  • Coach and train a sales team for a sales cycle that is primarily phone/web based, but may also include in-person meetings.
  • Champion consistent sales processes based on best practices.
  • Review and approval of proposals with pricing to ensure excellent presentations and on-target pricing.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms.
  • Hands-on management of our SalesForce database to provide coordination with other teams and transparency for sales activities.
  • Generating and achieving monthly sales forecasts.

Qualifications

 

  • At least five years of demonstrated success in sales management for enterprise software.
  • An intimate knowledge of, and experience, in selling enterprise software solutions and SaaS, through annual licenses and subscription-based models.
  • Demonstrated, consistent success in leading teams through the full sales life cycle encompassing prospecting, cold calling, qualifying prospective customers, assessing client needs, utilizing strong closing techniques and maintaining relationships.
  • Direct enterprise and phone sales experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with SalesForce.com
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills with the facility to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong business development experience with the ability to sell in to (and represent Connotate) at all levels within an organization.
  • Exceptional ability to proactively identify client needs and provide sound solutions.
  • Proficiency in synthesizing feedback from prospects and clients and communicating back to Connotate with input for continuous product improvement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Business experience with companies who provide data or content as their fundamental offering.
