Telophase is seeking a seasoned and motivated programmer with 5+ years of experience in software development / engineering in Linux/UNIX environment; including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis.

Telophase is seeking a seasoned and motivated programmer with 5+ years of experience in software development / engineering in Linux/UNIX environment; including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis.
Job Requirements
- Experience with HDF native formats, libraries, and tools for processing data in HDF or NetCDF
- Experience with applications or developing scripts to automate the processing of science data using EOS-HDF, NetCDF formats and tools
- Demonstrated capability in scientific programming, using C/C++, Java
- 5+ years experience programming in a UNIX/Linux environment
- Familiarity with Fortran is a plus
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – to interact with project staff which may include Analysts, Precipitation Scientists, other projects programmers, and engineers. The position may include direct interaction with customers or end users.
- High level of drive and initiative; ability to deliver with limited direction.
- Must be highly motivated, self-starter, results-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team
Required Experience
The position requires 5+ years of experience in:
- Developing software using the Java programming language with experience developing software using either C or C++
- Developing software UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems
- “Wrapping” legacy systems or components as Web Services within a SOA framework
- Developing solutions integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products
- Software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and shall have generated technical documents in support of a software development project.

- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- BS in Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Physics or related physical sciences; MS preferred
