As an incentive we offer periodic contests and customer promotions.
Jobs & Careers at 1-800-Flowers
Jim McCann acquired the 1-800-Flowers number in 1986 after successfully building his own chain of 14 flower shops in the New York metropolitan area. Relying on his thorough understanding of his customer base market, he focused on creating a reliable brand name and instilling a sense of trust and convenience in an industry that previously had no leader.
As his business grew, Jim and the Company pioneered its entry into other retail access channels, going online in 1992, and opening a website in 1995. Today, the Company has a well-known website and maintains online relationships with many online services including America Online, Microsoft Network (MSN), and Yahoo. In 2002 The Popcorn Factory was acquired, followed by Cheryl & Co. and Wine Tasting/Ambrosia in 2005, Harry London/Fannie May in 2006, Design Pac and NAPCO in 2008. These companies that have been acquired make up what is known as the GFGB (Gourmet Food and Gift Brands) under 1800Flowers.
