Job Description
Position: Security, Alarm Systems Technician
Location: Toronto
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform Installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting activities on Intrusion Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, PA Systems and other PC based Systems including Nurse Call and Sound Systems - Many of these systems operate on networks.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
Install & Inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer specifications.
Participates in emergency after-hours service on-call system.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in the Integrated Security industry.
Must have had experience on large/complex integrated systems including Intercom, CCTV, Access Control and Intrusion Alarm systems as an installer technician responsible for configuring, testing and troubleshooting.
Proficient in the operation of computers and knowledgeable on MS operating systems (including Windows 2000 Server).
Ability to configure PC hardware and application programs.
Computer Network Experience and Qualifications would be a strong asset to this position.
Ability to train customers.
Must have good interpersonal, communications, organization, and prioritization skills.
Graduate of an Electronics Engineering Technician or Technologist Course or equivalent experience.
Experience with Pelco, Lenel, RBH, Ademco DSC and CCure Access Control Systems would be an asset to this position.
