Job Description

Position Overview

Responsible for defining / managing the technical, timing, financials and staffing elements of the project while being the primary interface between internal customer and the internal engineering and management teams.

Primary responsibilities

• Develop program budgets and timing from concept to launch quality and volume (SOP+90 days)

• Direct program execution to meet budget, timing and product requirements set by product mgt

• Reports on program status, key risks and action plans to internal teams, management and customers

• Coordinates action plans among cross functional team

• Manages Phase/Gate New Product Development Process

• Ensures volume capacity is implemented within Supply Chain and Manufacturing in time for launch

• Works with NPD, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure APQP execution

• Document and track compliance to technical and commercial requirements along with developing solutions to address any/all identified gaps • Develop and maintain project primary project timelines

• Co-lead developing , sourcing and managing key suppliers

• Drive towards rapid identification and resolution of any and all engineering related performance, cost, timing, manufacturing , supply base etc related issues

Education/Experience

• Education: BSME/EE required with MS / MBA and/or PMO certification desired

• Total years of Experience Required: 10+ yrs

• Industry Experience Required: 10+ yrs at Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier

• Other Experience Required: 5+ yrs direct or matrix management of people

• Technical Experience Desired: High Tech Start-up / Hybrid Electric Vehicles / Alternative Energy / Batteries
