Job Description

The Systems Engineer/Implementation Engineer will provide expertise and oversight of implementations for ACI Worldwide products, coordination of training. This person is responsible for the effective synchronization and management of assigned customer projects, system configuration and expertise, status reporting, documentation and implementation of best practices, and escalation of items for senior management review as appropriate.  This position works closely with Product Management, Sales, Development, and Management to oversee the effective configuration, implementation, deployment of ACI’s Self Service Banking products; all while providing superior customer service.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in a fast-paced environment on 2 – 3 concurrent projects.
  • Configuration, set up and installation of ACI’s Self Service Banking product.
  • Works with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve technical system problems in a timely manner with a primary focus on complex problems.
  • Accurately setting customer expectations and proactively managing communication and deliverables from clients.
  • Quickly assimilate with the team, customers, market and products.
  • Perform roles of Individual contributor and team player.
  • Create technical documentation for use by the team – knowledgebase and guidelines.
  • Uphold “Client first” focus and attitude regardless of any unforeseen circumstances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements Needed:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of technology design, architecture, infrastructure experience or related experience.
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting development and production environments.

Qualifications

Highly Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years of technical experience in product architecture and/or production IT environments.
  • Previous experience in designing and/or implementing systems with a focus on scalability and high-availability.
  • SQL Server 2008 and 2008:
    • Solid understanding of database design and object types: tables, stored procedures, functions ability to write simple to moderate scripts.
    • Understanding of maintenance – backups, restorations, and maintenance plans.
  • Web and Mobile Applications:
    • CSS and HTML.
    • Experience deploying Mobile Applications for iOS and Android.
  • General IT Experience such as:
    • Windows 2003/2008 Server Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting.
    • Firewall and Networking knowledge.
    • Installing enterprise applications on java framework.
  • Previous experience with Apache Tomcat.
  • Basic Java development knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with EFT, Banking, Investment and/or Insurance applications is a plus.
