Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Construction Planning Expert to lead the planning and execution of major bridge projects. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in civil works, construction planning, and project management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction plans, schedules, and methodologies for major bridge projects.
- Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Implement advanced construction planning tools and techniques to optimize project execution.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, to achieve project objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government authorities.
- Oversee the construction, supervision, and execution of major bridge projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with contract management teams to ensure alignment with project goals and contractual obligations.
- Manage relationships with clients, funding agencies, and other key stakeholders to address project requirements and resolve issues.
- Establish quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards of construction.
- Prepare detailed project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and performance metrics, for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Post-Graduation in Construction Management or a Certificate Course in Construction Management/Contract Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil works, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Construction Planning Expert or Project Manager in major bridge projects.
- Proven experience in the construction, supervision, and execution of at least two major bridge projects.
Additional Information
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working on projects funded by multilateral or bilateral agencies.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an added advantage.
