Job Description
Position Overview
We are hiring for the position of Section Engineer – Civil for an elevated metro project in Nagpur. As a Section Engineer - Civil, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of elevated metro projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the construction activities of elevated metro structures, including viaducts, piers, stations, and other related civil works.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and design documents.
- Provide technical guidance to the site team and subcontractors to resolve on-site challenges.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to address any non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with project managers, design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Attend progress review meetings and provide updates on construction milestones.
- Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor resource utilization and identify areas for improvement.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly.
- Maintain accurate records of daily progress, material consumption, and site activities.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, work schedules, and other required documentation to the project management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BE/BTech) or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record in elevated metro projects.
- Hands-on experience in managing at least 2 elevated metro projects from inception to completion.

Preferred Attributes
- Proficiency in construction management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of metro rail design standards, construction techniques, and materials.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO, BIS, and other metro-specific codes.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
