Job Description
We are currently recruiting for the role of Linear Infrastructures Senior Assistant with experience in roadway (or railway) design to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone linear infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering roadway designs for many years, throughout the USA, Canada and Australia. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural Enterprise Capabilities Team (Poland/Spain).
Here's what you'll do:
- Works on small projects or defined portions of larger highway or linear infrastructure projects under the supervision of designers or senior engineers.
- Performs day-to-day design support tasks under designer supervision, including geometric design activities for highways or railways.
- Prepares and updates 2D and 3D drawings, models, and layouts in accordance with project requirements and design standards.
- Uses engineering and CAD software to solve basic engineering problems and progressively develops skills in geometric design tools.
- Produces detailed drawings, mark-ups, and CAD documentation based on instructions and design inputs provided by designers or engineers.
- Assists in the preparation of design documentation and project deliverables.
- Collects and organises design data, reference materials, and project information.
- Performs self-checks of drawings and documentation prior to submission for review.
- Coordinates assigned drafting and modelling tasks with other team members under guidance.
- Works in accordance with agreed project scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
Here's what we're looking for:
- Proven track record of working on highway designs (+4 years).
- Experience on highways design (and/or railway) and/or clear appetite to develop a technical career on that field.
- Experience in geometrical design at least one of the following packages: InRoads, OpenRoads / OpenRail, Rail Track, Civil 3D, Geopak or 12d Model.
- Good command of CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
- Communicative level of English (oral and written).
- CV in English language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering.
