Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that all electrical work meets contract specifications, building codes, and quality standards. You will work collaboratively with project teams to verify contractor compliance, document work quality, and maintain comprehensive inspection records. This position requires a meticulous professional who is committed to upholding the highest standards of electrical installation and safety on construction projects.
- Read, comprehend, and analyze contract documents, detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements, including all associated updates and amendments
- Ensure contractor compliance with contract standards and specifications through systematic observation, precise measurements, and comprehensive testing procedures
- Monitor and track quality assurance progress, documenting all findings with accuracy and transparency
- Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
- Document contractor personnel, equipment, activities, work locations, methodologies, and means of installation in assigned areas
- Verify material deliveries and implement site instructions from project leadership with efficiency and decisiveness
- Apply and enforce all quality control and quality assurance procedures established for the project
- Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as required by project leadership
- Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements through systematic inspection duties
- Observe and report on Health and Safety compliance, documenting any violations or concerns
- Maintain organized daily records of contractor manpower and equipment resources
- Prepare clear, concise reports presenting inspection findings and observations in professional written English
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Engineering (minimum requirement); related Engineering Degree preferred for career advancement
- Minimum 15 years of overall experience in construction supervision with a consultancy or similar organization
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical-related construction projects in the Middle East region or similar context
- Proven experience supervising electrical installations across diverse building types, including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical methodologies, installation processes, and procedures
- Comprehensive understanding of Building Codes and electrical compliance standards
- Demonstrated expertise in quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
- Strong report-writing capabilities with attention to detail and professional presentation
- Solid understanding of construction techniques and best practices
- Analytical and problem-solving skill set with the ability to identify and address compliance issues
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in team environments while maintaining independent judgment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple inspection tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and monitoring procedures
- Preferred: Experience with construction management software or digital inspection tools
- Preferred: Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local building standards
