Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Mechanical to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of mechanical systems and equipment. Working under direct supervision, you will perform routine inspections, verify adherence to design specifications, and maintain comprehensive documentation of all findings. Your meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of mechanical integrity across our operations.

  • Conduct routine mechanical inspections and field walk-downs to verify compliance with design specifications and engineering standards
  • Perform estimating take-offs and quantity tracking for mechanical components and systems
  • Document and report installed quantities, inspection findings, and any deviations from design requirements with transparency and accuracy
  • Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements and inspection criteria
  • Utilize measurement and testing equipment to assess mechanical systems, equipment performance, and structural integrity
  • Identify and report deficiencies, non-conformances, or safety concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and project managers to resolve identified issues and ensure corrective actions
  • Maintain organized and detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation for quality assurance purposes
  • Perform inspections to verify adherence to applicable mechanical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing analytical feedback on inspection processes and findings
  • Communicate inspection results clearly to stakeholders through written reports and verbal briefings

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical inspection or related field preferred
  • 8 years of experience
  • Proven experience performing mechanical inspections, quality assurance, or field inspection duties
  • Solid knowledge of basic engineering principles and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Experience with measurement tools, testing equipment, and inspection instruments
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and follow established procedures and protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes
  • Proficiency with inspection software or digital documentation systems
  • Experience performing quantity tracking and take-off estimations
  • Certification in mechanical inspection or related technical discipline
  • Experience working in the UAE or Middle Eastern markets
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
