AECOM’s Façade engineering team are seeking a talented, experienced and technical Senior Façade Engineer to Join our team in London

We are a close core team of 9 façade engineers currently delivering the design of a host of projects in the UK, Ireland and further afield in a range of sectors, including Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Transport, Sports, Mixed Use and Retrofit. Many of these are delivered as part of a multi-discipline AECOM design team, in collaboration with our Sustainability, Fire, Structures, MEP, Lighting, Acoustics, Energy, Cost and/ or Project Management consultants and specialisms.  Our team also delivers work to external clients as a direct appointment.

To be successful in this role you will assume general responsibilities for façade consultancy input to a wide range of clients and projects and will pro-actively contribute to the growth of AECOM’s Façade Engineering team’s capabilities.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Implement a holistic engineering approach across projects, considering performance, buildability, and aesthetics.
• Develop façade solutions from concept through to implementation, utilising a range of façade systems and materials.
• Share your knowledge with colleagues, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Work closely with clients, the wider design team, and the supply chain.
• Carry out and review engineering analyses, including thermal, structural, and embodied carbon assessments.
• Assist with work-winning activities and business development.

Requirements:

• Degree in Architectural Engineering, Building Design, or a related discipline (required).
• Proven experience within the façade industry, ideally in a dedicated façade consultancy.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to be client-facing and produce clear, concise technical reports.
• Working knowledge of system design considerations, façade performance analysis, and testing procedures.
• Proficiency in relevant façade and structural software, including Strand7, SJ MEPLA, THERM or Flixo, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and related software packages.
