Job Description

How you’ll make a difference

  • Support the delivery of highways and transport infrastructure design using 12d (essential) and AutoCAD in line with QLD TMR RPDM and Austroads standards
  • Contribute to design elements including civil arrangements, geometric design (road, cycleway, footpath), signage, utilities modelling and safety barriers
  • Produce accurate, high-quality drawings and models that meet project specifications and delivery requirements
  • Work under general supervision to deliver design outputs across multiple projects
  • Provide project support across assigned packages, ensuring designs align with standards, content and client expectations
  • Contribute to BIM and digital engineering workflows, supporting the development of coordinated 3D models
  • Assist with the federation of models to enable effective coordination across multidisciplinary design teams
  • Provide technical support to design team members, including guidance on systems, tools and best practice

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering Associate Degree (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years’ experience delivering highways design within QLD, with strong exposure to TMR projects
  • Proven experience using AutoCAD for highway and transport infrastructure design in line with QLD TMR RPDM supplements and Austroads standards
  • Demonstrated capability producing high-quality CAD drawings and design documentation for project delivery
  • Experience supporting design elements including civil arrangements, geometric design (road, cycleway, footpath), signage, utilities modelling and safety barriers
  • Exposure to 12d for design and modelling, with a willingness to further develop capability
