We were born & raised in Chicago, so we're super edgy-looking on the outside, but we're also really nice. 

Okay, that's enough about us, let's get back to you. 

I'm sure you know by now, we're looking to swipe right on the perfect 10 part-time copywriter. If you're a creative, fashion-minded copywriter - come join our web team! Your role as our copywriter will be to work closely with our marketing and merchant teams to build and create engaging, cute descriptions for each new beautiful product that hits the digital shelves of shopAKIRA.com. It's a fast-paced role, so buckle up.

Our ideal candidate is focused, great at meeting deadlines, has excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and is extremely detail-oriented. You must have an understanding of women's fashion terminology, obviously. (Mock neck, a-line, flatform, etc). There's also a little science to it, so SEO knowledge/background (any at all) is a huge bonus star for you, my friend.

Onto the good stuff, what you'll be doing on a regular basis:

• Building new products descriptions on site (clothing, shoes, and accessories)
• Generating other web content while maintaining the AKIRA voice (which is, like, fun & witty)
• Learning about which products succeed & which products fail and why 
• Brainstorming content ideas with the team for email content 
• Writing for our blog (Not required, only if you're interested in doing so.)
• Looking for a good meme or GIF to stick in office emails
