Job Description

Dorothy B. Mitchell Counseling Center (DBMCC) is a community-based center in Mesa providing confidential services for children, youth and their families. Counseling, case management, medication management and support services are provided for those eligible under the Magellan of Arizona contract. Staff members also facilitate and provide in-home family support services, the Parent and Children Teaming Together Program (PACTT) and the After School Program. We are currently looking to fill a Clinical Supervisor position for this program. This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.

DBMCC works with children and families with problems of abuse, neglect, and mental health. Issues addressed include post traumatic stress, adjustment issues, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, domestic violence, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders issues, relationship issues, sexual abuse and substance abuse issues.Staff specialties include crisis management, cognitive/behavioral therapy, DBT, sand tray, EMDR, Equine therapy, mediation/conflict resolution, solution focused brief therapy, relationship enhancement and play therapy, attachment and self-regulation therapy, character-based social and living skills and substance abuse counseling

Major areas of responsibility include (but not limited to:)

Complete all scheduled appointments vital signs before seeing the Providers. Alert Providers to any relevant info in regards to care, concerns, or vitals. Complete IR/MIR/Infection Control reporting needed during shift, as appropriate. Participate in group process and recording progress notes. Co-facilitate health education groups and record progress notes. Maintain and prepare all refill requests within the 7 day request for Providers to complete. Oversee lab requests and the return of lab results. Ensures that Providers and families are made aware of lab results in a timely manner. Communicate accurately with parents, representatives of placing agencies and/or interested parties as deemed appropriate by agency needs. This position might have other requirements.


Graduate from an accredited nursing program. LPN Licensure with 1 year of medical and psychiatric nursing experience. Current AZ LPN License. Valid Driver’s License. Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card. Clean 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record. This position might have other requirements.
