Job Description

Our Summer Teen Program in connection with the Mesa Public School District is a program intended to provide a summer opportunity for enrolled children and teenagers in the behavioral health program. This program is ran annually and is returning/opening this coming May. The goal our team of support partners provide to the children and teens is to help and assist them towards learning valuable skills in life and school while avoiding risky behavior. 

This program is ran annually, beginning in May and ending late July/early August. For 6 weeks, our team of support partners will provide services to children and teens in the Mesa Public School district.  Once school resumes in late July/early August, the Summer Teen Program will conclude.

Shift/Pay Rate:

DOE, 30 hrs/wk. No benefits.  

Schedule:

M—F 8am to 2pm.


Pay Rate:


$15 per hour


Major areas of responsibility include (but not limited to:)


Document and submit significant and routine paperwork such as progress notes, statistics reports, daily activities, special concerns, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program and submit to appropriate personnel. Serves as positive role model/mentor for the consumer. Follow prescribed treatment plans for children and show concern and caring for children in trouble. Responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of supervision of all clients. This program might have other requirements.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associates Degree/Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience or willingness to work with youth which may include: developing curriculum, facilitating group discussions, engaging in community service projects, field trips, or events, and documentation of activities. Ability to creatively problem solve while maintaining professionalism. Effective communication (written and verbal) and collaborative skills with diverse populations. Class One Fingerprint Card. Clean motor vehicle record (No tickets, fines, suspensions, etc). Must be 25 to drive 15-passenger vans. This position might have other requirements.
