The Alice Peterson Detention Alternative Program is a 24-hour therapeutic environment for adolescent males, ages 12-17, who experience emotional or interpersonal problems within their family or community and have exhibited behaviors leading to involvement in the Maricopa County Juvenile Court System. APR is licensed by the Department of Health Services as a Level III Group Home and accredited by the Joint Commission. This program specializes in youth considered for placement in the detention alternative program who must be currently detained with a pending petition with the court, but who do not present a significant public safety threat.
Our program is currently seeking to fill an overnight BHPP position.
SCHEDULE: Saturday to Tuesday 10pm to 8am.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate accurately with parents, representatives of placing agencies and/or interested parties as deemed appropriate by agency needs. Collaborate with Clinical Team to learn, practice, and effectively implement approved therapeutic interventions. Provide varied verbal and physical crisis intervention and counseling. May assist or perform duties related to providing and/or monitoring client's self-administration of prescribed medication. Maintain communication and perform tasks to assist in promoting the physical and emotional health of clients (i.e. nutrition, etc.) Provide consistent "line of sight" supervision for clients. This position might have other requirements.
