Job Description

A New Leaf's Dorothy Mitchell Residence (DMR) is looking to hire a part-time temporary cook position for the summer. DMR is a residential treatment center located in Mesa. The principle goal of the program is to provide a safe and stable environment in which to foster the optimal growth and development of each child. Supporting objectives include improved behavioral stability, improved physical health, improved education/vocation skill development, and timely family reunification and/or release planning.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8am to 1pm

Job Duties:

Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork such as NSLP documentation, daily activities, upcoming events, special concerns, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program and submit to appropriate personnel. Determine priority for program meal and kitchen components in conjunction with the RTC Program Manager. Perform program and facility orientation. Brief kitchen staff on A New Leaf’s policies and procedures including professional standards of codes of ethics. Work with kitchen staff to ensure that all reports and paperwork required by placing agencies are submitted in a timely fashion. Responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the physical plant. Responsible for implementing and enforcing safety performance standards. Understand and review budgets. Understand and review daily documentation required by various licensing entities, NSLP, ADHS, OBHL, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 plus years of recent cooking experience in a business setting required. Experience cooking for a minimum of 100 + people required.


Other Requirements: Valid Driver’s License. Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card. Clean 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record. MUST HAVE Food Handler's Card.
