Closer Job Duties

The Loan Servicing Remediation Specialist will be responsible for working on two large projects; the first includes reading and analyzing Home Equity Line of Credit contracts and documenting the various clauses and terms. The second project will entail loan level research through review of the servicing system, loan files, and servicing notes to perform analysis to understand the account history. This project will also include performing account maintenance and drafting customer correspondence.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Documenting the clauses and terms contained within a significant sample of HELOC contracts

• Loan level review of borrower communication, servicing system history, and servicing notes

• Draft customer correspondence

• Account maintenance on various systems to support gap remediation.

• Communicate with staff and managers to answer questions and resolve issues

Skills and Competencies:

Working knowledge of lines of credit.Knowledge of business desktop applications (i.e.: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, etc.) and Consumer Loan Servicing applications (i.e. ALS, Filenet,) are a plus. Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and of generally accepted office practices, procedures and equipment.

• Working knowledge of the line of credit product and associated documentation

• Strong analytical ability

• Proven problem solving skills

• Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities in a fast paced work environment

• Ability to provide training support to team members

• Knowledge of compliance in a banking environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Accurate with numbers and attention to details.

• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (or analysis).

• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to coordinate the work of others

•Ability to perform quality control reviews to ensure the accuracy of account maintenance and customer correspondence

• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team environment
