Job Description

Job Summary:

The purpose of the position is to work with customers to train, educate and gather data to configure and implement a customer-focused and enterprise-wide telecommunications solution.  The position will be responsible for data gathering, configuration technical assessments and business process definition to determine the best technical solution to meet the customer’s requirements. 


The position will not have budgeting or supervisory responsibilities.


Business related travel required 20 – 40% of time.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct data gathering workshops to determine application configurations for features and functions and determine how the system will be populated with collected data.
  2. Provide consultation for system configuration.
  3. Provide general database implementation, including, setup and running database scripts.
  4. Prepare and provide administrator and End User training.
  5. Prepare and equip network servers to allow them to provide (new) services to users.  (ACME Packet, EdgeMarc, AudioCode)
  6. Provide client-based feedback to engineering staff and Product Managers regarding features and functionality
  7. Provide post cutover help desk support.
  8. Other duties as assigned. 


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Computer Science or equivalent field from an accredited college or TechnicalSchool.  May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience in addition to minimum experience requirement.
  2. Five (5) or More Years Experience in telecommunication industry.
  3. Five (5) or More Years Experience in a customer facing role.
  4. Six (6) or More Months Experience with MX-One provisioning / product installation.
  5. Six (6) or More Months Hands On Experience with IP, PBX, Voice Mail and CallCenter Applications.
  6. Thorough knowledge of telecommunications systems and operations.
  7. Good understanding of VoIP and network protocols such as Internet Protocol (IP) and their implementation.
  8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products with a heavy emphasis on Visio, PowerPoint, Access and Excel.
  9. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

  2. Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification
