Web research / Blog writer - Viral News site - long or short term opportunity 

We run a viral news site with over 2M visitors/month.
We are looking for an open minded person with an interest in pop culture and viral trends on the Internet.

If you thrive in a fast paced environments and like to see the impact of your work on millions of people, than this is a great opportunity for you.
This is a part-time position and could be a long term position for the right candidate. 

Requirements:
- Experience with blog writing
- Experience with WordPress editor
- Detail oriented, ability to work with little guidance, consistently meet deadlines
- interest in pop culture and gossip
- familiarity with viral sites (e.g. buzzfeed.com, boredpanda.com, distractify.com, lifebuzz.com etc) article formats and topics
- PLUS: basic knowledge of HTML (this is required for small changes in WP text editor)
- SEO optimization is a plus

Duties:
- daily scout the web for news and articles that have the potential to go viral on social.
- upon customer decision rewrite such articles so that they have an original spin (with proper English grammar)
- search for images related to the article that might be used in paid campaigns as advertisement, write multiple ads copies to find the best performing one

COMPENSATION: we offer an hourly rate to be agreed based on candidate experience. We are willing to offer also performance bonus based on personal results and company profits.

LOCATION: this is a remote working opportunity.
