Job Description

Adjective & Co is currently hiring an expert in all things digital to assist the creative and web development teams. We take big ideas and make them bigger on any and all digital platforms–that’s where you come in. From UX and content architecture planning to version control and debugging CMS platforms, you’ll be able to stretch your legs and tackle some highly creative projects with an award-winning team.


  • Don’t suck
  • Previous experience as a web developer
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with both teams and clients
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript (jQuery), PHP, ASP, and/or JSP
  • Expert understanding of the latest and legacy browser capabilities, including mobile
  • Expert Wordpress understanding
  • Familiarity with version control (GIT)
  • Functional knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and Apache and familiarity with UNIX terminal commands
  • Working knowledge of AJAX and DOM page manipulation and client-side optimization techniques
  • Some design experience would be a good bonus
  • Be hungry to learn and grow with a good group of people in Jacksonville Beach, FL

  • Take a website from initial layout to a fully responsive, functioning, live site
  • Set up, manage, and configure hosting environments
  • Build and design fully responsive websites that achieve clients goals
  • Build on CMS — WordPress (primarily), Drupal, Joomla, and Magento
  • Use HTML / CSS / JavaScript to develop visually stunning, user-driven websites, web applications
  • Maintain beautiful and well-documented code
  • Connect to third-party platforms using various APIs
  • Proactively perform cross-browser testing and optimizations
