Job Description

This position supervises Rental Coordinators of the branch and is responsible for the activities of the rental counter and dispatch/delivery.

Essential Functions:

•Supervise and assist Rental Coordinators answering rental calls and quoting rates

•Know what equipment is available for rental and keep counter persons updated on a continual basis

•Communicate with Salesman to coordinate their deliveries and pick-ups through the rental counter persons

•Coordinate establishing priorities on ADMAR equipment repairs with Service Manager (Equipment required for rentals on short notice)

•Monitoring the Drivers in keeping trucks and trailers in good working and legal condition

•Assure that all contracts and required paperwork is processed in a timely and accurate manner

•Be responsible for training of new Rental Coordinators

•Direct and monitor Rental Coordinators in keeping weekly equipment schedule board accurate and up-to-date

•Supervise and monitor Drivers to make sure vehicle inspection reports and daily logs are completed and handed in daily

•Monitor vehicle registrations and NY State inspections and have renewed as required

•Plan equipment delivery and pick-up routes to utilize time in the most efficient way

•Work with Rental Coordinators to organize rental contracts and all necessary paperwork for Drivers to make their deliveries and pickups.

Qualifications

•2-5 years experience in Supervision

•2-5 years experience as a Rental Coordinator - preferable in equipment rental industry

•Prior experience as a Fleet Manager would be helpful

•Able and willing to work with other departments

•Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently

•Basic computer skills •Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with customers and employees
