 Through its modernization efforts OTDA continues to upgrade existing and develop new web applications to aid local district workers in providing services to their customers. The existing Welfare to Work Case Management System provides local districts or their designated outside providers the ability to collect and record information pertinent to their job functions, and to monitor the progress of PA and FS clients through required steps to self-sufficiency. The application is currently built using a prior version of Visual Studio(6.0), released in 1999 and the version of software is no longer supported by Microsoft as of March of 2008. In order to maintain appropriate levels of service to the local districts, the current application technologies need to be updated. Additionally, there are many business related enhancements to the system that are needed.


-Work with the existing state team to convert the Welfare to Work Case Management System from ASP and VB 6 to ASP. Net and VB.Net. This will include designing the updated system’s architecture, making recommendations for conversion activities, and mentoring the current team as they perform the conversion. 

- Work with existing state team to further enhance the WTWCMS system after completion of the conversion 

-Research and provide architectural review and direction of various other Microsoft .Net based open system applications. 

-Assist with conversion of FFFS site from Sharepoint 2007 to 2010 

- Analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team 

- Maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work 

- Write application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions

We are currently looking for a .NET Specialist for our partner company in Albany, NY. This is a long term contracting opportunity, starting at 24 months and with potential to extend.
