Job Description

Role: Desktop Support

Location : Front Royal, VA 22630

Duration : 6+ months

 

Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance in migration of client computer systems from Windows XP to Windows 7 platform.

Following procedures set by client to save data, image and restore settings to new or existing computer systems.

Map network printers, install applications and manage a nightly deployment list.

Act as hands and feet for project team to assess and resolve any issues to complete migrations

Document and certify completion of migrations to project team.

 

Technical Requirements:

Familiar with OS platforms and administrative functionalities

Able to map network drives, add systems to domain, locates files,  and troubleshoot associated issues

Able to install memory, software applications, drivers, and printers.

Able to follow procedures with little to no immediate supervision.

Ability to lift equipment up to 25 pounds

Able to completed replacement migrations by installing new keyboard, mouse, docking stations , power supplies and run cabling
