Eastern Aleutian Tribes provides Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health services in federally qualified health centers in the communities of Adak, Akutan, Cold Bay, False Pass, King Cove, Nelson Lagoon, Sand Point, and Whittier.
EAT was formed in 1991 and includes seven Aleut tribes from the Aleutian Islands and Alaska Peninsula. These include the Agdaagux Tribal Council (King Cove), Akutan Traditional Council (Akutan), Nelson Lagoon Tribal Council (Nelson Lagoon), Unga Tribal Council (Unga in Sand Point), Qagan Tayagungin Tribal Council (Sand Point), False Pass Tribal Council (False Pass), and the Pauloff Harbor Tribal Council (Sanak in Sand Point).

Position: Mid-Level Practitioner
Reports to: Director of Primary Care
Location: Eastern Aleutian Tribes Service Area
Pay Grade: Exempt
Purpose of Position:
To provide preventative, primary and emergency care and work as a team with other health care
providers, CI, CHA/P and first response team to ensure continuity and quality community health
•Provide direct care to patients who present for services.
•Ensures that evaluation treatment and follow-up are congruent with the
operational and clinical standards as established by the region.
•Actively participate in the clinic weekly team meetings, providing expertise and
receiving peer support and supervision.
•Working with the local health care team, ensure that the pharmacy and laboratory
meet the operational standard requirements established by the region.
•Provide off business hour coverage for immediate, urgent or emergency medical
•Work with the local health care team providing input and participation in the
development and review of clinical protocols and ambulatory care operational
•Participate and help facilitate the quality assurance system.
•Participate in the quarterly site review of the clinic. Working with clinic staff
preparing for the site review and participate in the exit interview. Devise a plan
of correction to address any deficits and implement the plan of correction once it
has been accepted.
•Actively promote the development of clinical expertise of yourself and coworkers.
•Ensure full compliance of all operational standards for Medical Records, Patient
•Participate in the regular inventory checks needed at the clinic.
•Manage the supplies and equipment in the manner that promotes efficiency,
quality care and ensures adherence to operational standards.
•Ability to provide care to patients with unconditional regard and respect.
•Complete necessary reports as requested by the Medical Coordinator.
•Certified with several years experience in primary and Emergency Care.
•Experience in Rural cross culture setting preferred.
Relocation Allowance: $10,000.00
