Performs professional pharmacy services to hospitalized patients and outpatients and provides the pharmacy program with clinical informatics support. Pharmacy services are provided under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and in accordance with regulatory agencies and requirements.

Job Description

The audiologist will develop and provide audiology services at Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation and the service area.


Doctorate (AuD) or Masters Degree in Audiology with five year's experience from an accredited university audiology program.
Certificate in Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Audiology Association.
Knowledge of assessment and evaluation of hearing disorders and the impact upon communication, health, vocation, socialization for the individual and family.
Knowledge of appropriate treatment and referral options based on assessment and evaluation of hearing disorders.
The ability to synthesize knowledge of otologic diseases and the Audiologic evaluation to assist physicians and other professional health staff in proper diagnosis and treatment.
Knowledge of possible aural rehabilitation procedures to ensure appropriate counseling, referrals and / or therapy to individuals and families.
Current knowledge in audiologic trends for hearing aid fittings, including real ear measurement, ear mold modifications and electro-acoustics modifications, as demonstrated by clinical experience and continuing education.
Practical knowledge about assistive listening devices and alerting systems.
Experience in administering and interpreting a diagnostic Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) test for at least an Otoacoustic Auditory Evoked screening test.
Sound organizational skills. Ability to work independently and with sound judgment.
A competent knowledge of Word, Excel and e-mail software programs.
With in a reasonable period of time from the date of hire, a working knowledge of electronic health record programs and telemedicine functions.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span (e.g., pediatric/adult/geriatric and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the assigned unit's policies and procedures.

Nushagak Bay, Warehouse Mountain, Wood River—all contribute to the unique beauty that surrounds Dillingham, Alaska.  Winter includes dog sledding, cross-country skiing, snow machining, and ice fishing.  Spring and summer bring sport and commercial fishing, hiking, and camping.  Bristol Bay is one of the world’s largest sockeye or red salmon fisheries.  Sport fishing is prevalent in many lakes and rivers of the region.  Five species of Pacific salmon,, Arctic Char, Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Grayling, and Northern Pike are part of the variety.  The region has many large mammals, including caribou, moose, and brown and black bears.  During the summer months, migratory birds—ducks, geese, cranes, and swans frequent the region.
