Job Title:  Director, Human Resources

Department: Human Resources

 

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the overall Human Resources function as it relates to the Finance, Operations, Legal and HR teams including organizational effectiveness, employee relations, compensation, and development. Additionally, this role has a functional responsibility as it relates to organizational development and change management initiatives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Partner – Operations, Finance, Legal/Regulatory and HR
    • Partner with the senior leadership on organizational development, succession planning, talent management, etc.
    • Partner with leadership at all levels regarding OE and HR issues.
    • Provides direction, guidance and approval on coaching, counseling and disciplinary/performance actions.
    • Ensure teams are able to manage and execute to Align’s performance management process in a timely and efficient manner.

 

  • Training and Development
    • Identify general development opportunities for the business teams and work with management to close those gaps through development, business opportunities and training.
    • Manage overall development plan for the business teams. Includes onboarding of new employees to ongoing compliance, training and development for all levels of the business teams.
    • Analyze employee engagement data, communicate results and recommend actions to further engage employees.
    • Partner with Business Partners and management to identify learning opportunities to facilitate effective management development and focus on continuous improvement of individual contributors.

 

  • Organizational Development/Change Management
    • Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
    • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for employee change caused by projects and change efforts. act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor .
    • Liaison at all levels across business units to analyze and effectively develop, deliver and embed change management solutions in line with business objectives.
    • Identify potential employee risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.

 

  • HR Programs
    • Partner and/or represent the Human Resources function with cross-functional teams on company-wide initiatives and projects.
    • Lead miscellaneous projects and programs as needed.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years Human Resources experience  
  • Minimum 2 years change management experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred with emphasis in OD
  • Must possess demonstrated ability to develop rapport and maintain credibility with an outside sales team through either personal sales experience or previous experience
  • Must be able to develop and deliver effective presentations
  • Previous experience in business strategy development required
  • Medical device experience preferred
