Job Description

SUMMARY 

The Sr. Business Analyst is the interface between the business Stakeholders and information technology, facilitating the alignment of business process design with business strategies and business applications. The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for engaging with the business to gather requirements, perform analysis and design implementation solutions. He/She will collaborate with globally distributed business users and development teams to provide analysis and recommendations for robust & scalable solutions.  

  • Facilitates and leads cross functional team of business owners, product management, manufacturing operations, finance, software development, system architects, SQA and other key stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective business and systems solution.
  • Quickly understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements, systems capabilities, and presents solution options.
  • Compile, analyze and draft detailed software requirements in the form of use cases, process diagrams, flowcharts, and workflows to be used by design, development, testing, and project management teams.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity within the context of the overall business strategy and recommend system improvements
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify project objectives, scope, dependencies and risks for projects.
  • Assist the Project Manager with scope management, change management and solution definition
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing, to ensure solution provided meets the business acceptance.
  • Participate in project communications, training materials, and business procedures /documentation

Qualifications

  • Skilled in Software and Project  Development Life Cycle
  • Expertise in process mapping and modeling
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business representatives at all levels to identify needs, define and document requirements, and drive solutions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  •  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Business related field, or equivalent experience required
  •  Masters Degree in fields listed above strongly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in Business and requirement analysis activities including business process design, and business process modeling required.
  •  5+ years of systems analysis and solutions required
  •  3+ years’ experience working with Marketing/Sales/ and/or Manufacturing systems preferred
  • Lean Thinking / Knowledge of Six Sigma
