Job Description

This key position will be responsible in providing Sales support for the NA Sales team. This position will be responsible in managing and business partnering with Sales to create the NA Sales Strategy on both Scanner and Invisalign businesses. This position is required to provide sales operations leadership and to work together with EVP - Sales, VP - Sales Effectiveness, Sr. Director - Director(s) of Sales, and Regional Sales Manager(s) in creating tools, analysis, and programs that will drive the business.

 

Sales operations specific responsibilities include CRM and iPad strategy development, Quota setting and compensation analysis, sales optimization efforts and analysis as well as territory, customer and overall company dashboard development and ad hoc analysis.

 

Develop strong relationships with all assigned business partners but maintain an objective mind in evaluating their performance as a group.  Be an integral player in the Sales and Marketing promotions process.  Become the key team member in analyzing business development opportunities for the Invisalign & Scanner franchise.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Key leader of team that analyzes sales opportunities and other business development opportunities for Align.  Develop appropriate tools and analytics as required.
  • IPad and Salesforce.com CRM application development.  Develop strategic vision to improve overall effectiveness of NA Sales force using tools and on line analysis to make better informed decision at the customer and territory level.
  • Review monthly reports and analysis on actual activity and sales force effectiveness metrics as compared to the operating plan and forecasts with Sales and Channel Marketing business partners.  Monitor and communicate opportunities and/or gaps in revenue/performance by maintaining a set of business metrics.
  • Responsible for accurate quarterly Sales quota setting and the incentive compensation package delivering motivation and accelerated sales performance.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis for assigned departments on as needed basis.
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly close process and preparation of reporting package for EVP – Sales, and senior management as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business field or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
  • 6+ years of Sales Operations / Analytics experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Sales or Marketing
  • Strong database query skills are BIG PLUS (specifically, MS Query; MS Access or SQL)
  • Strong experience in CRM / iPad development a BIG PLUS (Specifically, Salesforce.com)
  • Strong experience in building models in MS Excel required

Regular business hours

Might be required to travel to Sales & Marketing functions (0-10% of total work hours)

Might be required to travel to regional functions
