Job Description

SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, HR Systems will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s HR systems. This will include identification and implementation of new systems (if appropriate) as well as ongoing assessment, management and administration. This position will be expected to drive, influence, and partner with Global HR and IT to best leverage the systems in place and drive improvements where necessary. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that all groups using HR systems are trained in using the systems as appropriate.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

System Strategy and Oversight:

  • Partner with Director, HR Operations to develop overall strategic plan for Global HR to leverage HR Systems including HRIS, LMS, ATS
  • Ensure consideration of international needs and overall international implementation as necessary
  • Recommend HR systems and reporting solutions to the HR leadership team with appropriate RFP process
  • Define software requirements; participate in software selection process
  • Maintain strong awareness of system updates and activities to ensure Align has proper systems to meet needs

System Management:

  • Manage relationships with appropriate vendors and review/negotiate contracts as needed
  • Create and implement a detailed training plan for employee education
  • Identify, analyze, define and implement process mapping for each system
  • Identify, analyze, define and implement continuous improvements to all systems
  • Influence and partner with stakeholders to understand and deliver on business  needs.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc data reports for internal business partners and stakeholders
  • Lead implementation of systems or product upgrades
  • Ensure that HR Systems including LMS are in compliance with Align Technology’s quality standards and all applicable federal regulations.

Project Management:

  • Act as primary HR systems liaison to corporate systems initiatives requiring HR representation – ERP, Privacy, etc.
  • Analyze, define and document project objectives and requirements
  • Create project plans, define scope and manage resource requirements
  • Articulate deliverables, develop project timelines
  • Facilitate communication, meetings and project updates to project team and stakeholders
  • Ensure on-time and on-budget completion of projects

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BS/BA or equivalent work experience required

Masters degree in Business, HR, MIS, Computer Science or related field preferred
8+ years experience working with HRIS AND LMS systems

Prior experience preferred in the following areas:

  • ERP implementation experience in a lead HR role
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience
  • Managing small team and/or projects
  • Previous experience in FDA regulated organization
  • Vendor management
  • System implementation experience (preferably ERP experience as well)
