Job Summary
The enterprise architect (EA) takes Align’s business strategy and defines an IT systems architecture to support that strategy. They have proven expertise in Enterprise architecture, cutting across business processes, applications, data, and infrastructure. They have an eye on emerging technology and architecture trends and their potential impact on Align’s business.
Job Description
- Provides overall direction, guidance and definition of the applications architecture to support the company’s business strategy
- Works with key business stakeholders to gain a strong understanding of the business objectives and related technology needs across the enterprise
- Works with internal customers, consultants, IT team members and other stakeholders to identify requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options
- Partner with IT team members and business stakeholders to build consensus, gain approval, and ensure the successful execution of the proposed solutions
- Serve as a visionary, providing new solutions to solve business challenges and utilizing new trends and technologies
- Document the applications architecture and integrations to maintain a current view of the larger enterprise portfolio
- Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration, including leadership in guiding users in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology for business use cases
Qualifications
Requirements
- 10 or more years of professional IT experience in large scale, distributed environment with hands on experience in multiple technologies and multiple roles
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience as an enterprise architect leading functional or enterprise wide architecture planning and development of a multi-year roadmap
- Broad experience with enterprise applications more specifically SAP and SFDC, multi-platform environments, n-tier architectures and ability to design an enterprise solution
- Thorough understanding of cloud based system integration and enterprise data security best practices.
- Thorough understanding of single sign-on and identity management solutions, along with best practices on auditing infrastructure.
- Modeling skills including business process, requirements, security, applications, software, data, or technology.
- Experience with SOA, data integration patterns, master data management & data virtualization practices required.
- Solid understanding of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Middleware platforms.
- Experience in design, development, implementation and operational support of mission critical solutions in large scale environments and organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide range of audiences including technologists, executives, business stakeholders and IT team members
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to influence others and build a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated knowledge across various facets of IT systems along with vendor products, including:
- --Enterprise Applications – ERP (SAP), Microsoft BI Stack (Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services); Manufacturing Execution Systems (Rockwell)
- --Collaboration technologies – Chatter, SharePoint
- --SAAS vendors – SFDC, Workday
- Experience with product evaluations, facilitating RFI/RFP process, proof-of-concept and selection using quantitative and qualitative criteria
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years of enterprise architecture experience
