Job Description

Align is looking for a Senior Program Manager with a track record of leading multiple successful SAP ERP  implementations.  He/She will work cross-functionally across global business, technical, and third party teams to transform global business processes and implement and integrate SAP as our single ERP instance.   He/She should be comfortable driving a large scope project that touches many areas of the company, and managing a broad project team to meet these commitments.

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for project coordination, communication, risk management and act as a liaison between Development, IT, SQA, Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, Legal / Regulatory, and the third party implementation partner(s) to ensure smooth delivery and successful rollout of the project to our customers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A proven track record of successful project/program management in complex, multi-function SAP implementations. Must have led large, cross-division functional teams or projects that had a long term impact on the organization
  • Work with cross functional and globally distributed teams.
  • Support release planning and dependency management
  • Accountable for all project commitments and ensuring that deliverables, release scope, quality and schedule are achieved
  • Ensure that project requirements are gathered and complete
  • Ensure project deliverables are identified and complete
  • Develop a master schedule based on technical implementation schedule, SI implementation schedule, change management schedule, and business process transformation schedule – including managing key dependencies from other projects.
  • Validate that adequate resources are allocated to the project, and help to resolve resource contentions
  • Establish direction and accountability for the project team
  • Facilitate the development of metrics to measure success of the ERP implementation initiative.
  • Maintain and publish project schedule and plan including prioritization, key issues, changes, and decisions
  • Support the development of communication methods to keep the project team in sync
  • Provide status reports and facilitate status meetings with users and management
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of  project plans, diagrams and cutover documentation
  • Responsible for facilitating time tracking
  • Mediates project issues within  team as necessary
  • Organizes the project team for effective implementation and delivery
  • Builds capability within the project team to accomplish the project goals
  • Manage and mitigate project risks
  • Ensures completeness and quality of all project deliverables
  • Facilitate the change management plan
  • Support the identification and implementation of tactics to build team commitment and excitement about the project
  • Travel to Align’s global offices may be required (~10-15%)

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management experience of large scale, global  SAP ERP implementations,– in particular with the Quote to Cash, Record to Report, Plan to Make, and Source to Settle processes
  • Experience with leading at least 5 large end to end SAP ERP implementations with companies that are >$0.5B in revenue
  • Functional experience in SAP with ability to speak in layman terms about the functionality of SAP ECC 6.0, FI, CO, MM, PP, SD, BI, Enterprise Portals, ABAP, SAP Basis, SAP Security, Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience working with clients in the medical devices or life sciences industry is preferre.
  • Experience with managing projects with SOX compliance and FDA/HIPAA regulatory compliance requirements is preferred
  • Experience with Sales Force, Rockwell MES, Workday, Vistex, and Blackline integrations a plus
  • Experience with managing data migrations – in particular from JDE
  • Experience working with distributed (virtual) international teams
  • Practical and theoretical understanding of managing the life-cycle of major projects and programs
  • Experience using a variety of software life cycle & development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile (SCRUM), PMP etc.)
  • Proven problem solving skills and techniques. Broad to advanced technical and business knowledge. Ability to quickly learn and comprehend technology landscape, interdependencies and constraints. Able to quickly develop knowledge of Align’s business and processes
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate risk
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to facilitate resolution of conflicts
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and ambiguity, as well as juggle competing priorities
  • Must be acquainted with data analysis, presentation and word processing software such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and Word
  • Accounting or finance background a plus

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • BS or BA degree
  • PMP Certification preferred, as is ASAP Toolset Methodology experience
