Job Description

SUMMARY

The Project Manager, Training Events will manage Align Technology’s (makers of Invisalign) 200 one-day educational customer training events. Customer training events consist of over 200 one-day educational events for General Dentists, Orthodontists, and their teams, located in venues throughout the United States and Canada. The Project Manager, Training Events, will be responsible for event management and execution. Key responsibilities will include budget management, logistics, staffing, registration management, speaker and trainer coordination, on-site staff training. The ideal candidate will be customer service focused, have excellent organization and communication skills and will have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position is highly cross-functional, and will require strong interpersonal, negotiation, and business skills; reports to Manager, Training Events, and works closely with Align’s Professional Education team. Customer centric, world class events are required as standard operating procedure. Relentless execution and sustained excellence will be key indicators of success in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Logistics management (F&B, A/V, etc.) for both stand-alone training and training integrated into trade shows           
  • Coordinate and prep on-site team(s), schedule and run turn-over meetings as needed
  • Monitor recruitment numbers for all events and plan accordingly
  • Develop event rosters and provide to core team of Travel Directors (TDs) for on-site execution
  • Maintain training calendar and make daily updates
  • Manage budget for training events
  • Coordinate with speakers and trainers
  • Manage event collateral and shipping in conjunction with Coordinator, Training Events
  • Provide event and content updates to TDs
  • Communicate with Field Sales regarding venues and recruitment
  • Liaise with cross-functional Professional Education team on an ongoing basis
  • Act as resource for on-site teams on Thursdays and Fridays (from HQ)
  • Assist with venue sourcing for US/Canada destinations

  • This is a full-time in-office position located at Align headquarters in San Jose, California.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of roadshow or trade show event management
  • Previous agency side (client service) experience preferred
  • CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) preferred
