We have an opening for a Sales Director. The Sales Director will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for managing a small team of Account Managers.  The three primary areas of focus are:  leadership, sales, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate is an innovative challenger sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and consultative approach.  In addition they will have strong leadership, coaching, and selling skills combined with sound knowledge of B2B digital marketing best practices that relate to content marketing (SEO), web analytics, brand positioning and building large scale websites.  Your excellent presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills, along with your high energy, creativity, and positive attitude, will guide you to success in our stimulating environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Leadership

 

  • Provide innovative ways to help increase and improve individual and team performance

  • Manage goals and quotas;  Manage team to provide career development opportunities, evaluate performance and provide feedback.

  • Implement training programs to enhance both technical knowledge and sales skills

 

Sales

  • Partner with the CEO to plan, develop, and implement sales strategies

  • Prepare estimates and content for RFP Responses

  • Develop and present sales pitches for new clients

  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion

 

Client Management Relationships

  • Manage all aspects of account management services for clients.

  • Recommend process improvement to address identified problem areas.

  • Participate in strategic client meetings to make recommendations for new opportunities focusing on the retention and growth of current business, while securing referenceable clients.

  • Oversee the resolution of client issues ensuring remediation plans are successful.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years related experience in sales and 3-5 years sales management in an digital advertising agency.

  • Strong consultative and strategic selling skills with the ability to strategize, plan, and manage every detail of a sales process—from nurturing relationships to negotiating contracts

  • Experience in implementing and using lead generation, lead nurturing, and CRM tools. (SalesForce.com is preferred)

  • Sound knowledge of B2B digital marketing, e-marketing, web analytics and branding

  • Must be detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and good analytical skills
