Job Description

The Service Provision Specialist (SPS) is responsible for assuring the quality of services provided to the consumers, coordinating employees and is responsible for scheduling and communication duties. The SPS will also provide direct services as determined by the Director or Supervisor of Service Provision.
Essential Functions
1. Schedules work time of Direct Care Workers (DCW) while ensuring utilization of approved hours and monitoring DCW’s overtime.
2. Will provide assistance with daily Santrax approvals, monitoring of consumer safety through dashboard tool and other TABS related duties as assigned.
3. Working with Supervisor and other Service Provision Specialists on priority scheduling needs.
4. Performs job assignments, with attention to and in compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Agency mandated regulations mission, values, and ethics, with a positive attitude and in cooperation with others both inside and outside the Agency.
5. Complies with the Agency standard for service delivery.
6. Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Requirements Education
1. Minimum of high school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree in a business or human services discipline preferred.

Work Experience
1. At least one year professional experience in human services field preferred.
2. Experience providing direct care a plus.
3. Good customer service skills and experience a must. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Skills in working with or providing services for individuals with disabilities and/or special needs as well as a commitment to the consumer control philosophy.
2. Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work, including evenings and weekends.
3. Ability to successfully operate a personal computer and sustain a working knowledge of required software. Database experience a plus.
4. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance due to requirement for some travel to our satellite office in Duncansville and our group homes. The Agency also requires a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
5. In accordance with Federal and the state of Pennsylvania regulations governing facilities/agencies that offer care-dependent services, a facility/agency may not hire an applicant nor retain an employee required to submit a criminal history report if the criminal history report reveals a felony conviction under The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act or a conviction under any of the Pennsylvania Crime Codes. In addition, any felony offense under Chapter 39, of the Crime Code (relating to theft & related offenses), or two or more misdemeanors under Chapter 39 will prohibit hiring of the applicant or retaining the employee. Agency requires a Criminal Background Check, MA Fraud Check, and Child Abuse History Clearance at the time of hire and periodically throughout employment. EOE/M/F/D/V
