Job Description

We offer a contract of employment and a hybrid work model that incorporates solutions developed by the leader and the team (1-2 office days a week)

As part of the Store-in-store team, you will be working on an innovative product that aims to create a dedicated place for brands and retailers within the broader Allegro platform in multiple countries. We are part of the Allegro Group, which ranks among the ten most visited e-commerce websites in the world. Development teams at Allegro consist of more than 1,700 IT specialists. We are now looking for talented Front-end developers (MID position) to join our team and help accelerate the growth of our solution.

Who are we?

  • We aim to create a dedicated place for brands and retailers within the Allegro platform in several countries
  • We create components for customers, as well as tools for administrators representing brands and retailers
  • Our daily challenge is solving complex customer problems on a large-scale technological platform
  • Our product involves several closely collaborating teams based in Prague and Brno
  • Each team consists of a Product Manager, Front-end and Back-end developers, QA engineer and a UX designer
  • We work in agile methodology - Kanban
  • We constantly improve processes and introduce new technologies
  • We meet 1-2 times a week in the office, go out for lunch, or have a team breakfast together (we do not want to see each other only on Zoom, but we also do not need to be in the office every day)
  • Occasionally we collaborate with colleagues from Poland, documenting in English, but internal team communication is in Czech
  • We have plenty of work, so we are looking for new colleagues and friends who would help us develop our solution at a faster pace

Who are you?

  • Have a very good knowledge of JavaScript and one of its frameworks, preferably React
  • Are proficient in responsive web design (HTML, CSS)
  • Know and have worked in production environments with TypeScript
  • Have experience with unit testing (we use Jest) and E2E testing (Cypress)
  • Think outside the box and have a broad perspective on their work
  • Want to be proud of the code they write. Are open to feedback and are willing to share their knowledge during code reviews
  • Can search for efficient solutions to meet users’ requirements
  • Are eager to continuously develop their skills and update their knowledge
  • You know Czech and English (at B2 level minimum)
  • You can meet us at least once a week in the office in Prague Holešovice
