Alta-Fab Structures Ltd. provides innovative, high-quality modular buildings, designed to meet the industrial space and remote housing needs for any industry. We manufacture and service single-unit structures for wellsites and multi-unit large camps and complexes.

• Receive, process and respond to orders, parts inquiring and returns via phone, fax, email and web
• Prepare, generate , pick orders, pack and ship orders arranging the transport of materials by rail, air or road
• Calculate transportation cost and prepare transportation documents
• Maintain inventory levels and  material electronic file management system 
• Source parts and materials for customers with the  Purchasing Department
• Ensure all parts and materials are shipped with the  supporting  updated MSDS data sheets
• Forward all MSDS data sheets to the appropriate internal departments
• Construct  crates for shipping orders
• Assist in keeping department clean and orderly
• Check accuracy of part numbers, descriptions, customer address and delivery method
• Process returns and credits resulting from incorrect shipments, damaged items, invoicing errors
• Ensure that paperwork and all other documentation is completed on time and correctly
• Other duties as assigned

• A strong commitment to safety and a safety leader
• Require basic data entry computer and email skills using Windows system
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and construction materials an asset
• Experience with inventory control software and forklift ticket an asset
• Physical demanding position requiring to work in outdoor and indoor environment
• Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to details with strong organization skills to  effectively manage time to meet required deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, adaptability, and customer service orientation as well as good communication abilities required to work with internal and external customers on different levels
• Results-orientated with ability to work as a team member as well as independently
• Position
  requires 1 or more years experience as a Parts Material Technician within
  residential construction field
• Position requires strong English communication skills, including written, spoken and comprehension
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Year round full time employment. Must have vehicle to commute to Nisku.  Application process requires pre-employment drug, alcohol and physical testing.
