Specific Responsibilities and skills for Position:
The successful candidate for this position will support software development and testing activities for clinical virology information systems.
The candidate will work with Bioinformatics Scientists to develop and test data analysis pipelines and web applications used for investigation of viral subpopulations and drug resistance in clinical samples.
The individual will work closely with Research Scientists, Regulatory, and IT personnel to update functionality, test, and document the information systems.

Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
• Minimum of two years of experience using programming and scripting languages such as C++/C#/Java and Perl/Python
• Minimum of two years of experience writing SQL queries for SQL/Oracle/MySQL databases
• Basic knowledge of molecular biology and DNA sequencing technologies
• Experience with source code control systems and software testing techniques such as unit and integration testing
• Ability to coordinate release cycles and maintain different branches of multiple projects, resolve build issues, e.g. merge conflicts, compilation errors, missing dependencies...
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to write technical documentation

Desired Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
• Programming experience with C# .NET, SQL
• Knowledge of web frameworks and technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP
• Experience with open-source bioinformatics tools / packages (GATK, Bioconductor, etc)

Specific Education and Experience:
• 2+ years of experience with BS degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience with MS degree in a related discipline.

This is a 10 to 12 Months of a contract position, looking for candidates who can attend face to face Interview, If required.
