A typical way to achieve the required knowledge & experience:

• BA/BS degree in a related field  or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending
• 1-3 years of supervisory/management experience
• In depth working knowledge of FHA/VA government lending programs
• NMLS license
• Knowledge of current mortgage loan regulatory requirements, guidelines and residential loan products
